l live in apartment and the last tenant placed linoleum flooring over ceramic tile flooring in the batroom. What can l do to remove this ''glue''. l have already tried glue-be-gone and a scraper but nothing came off.

How Do I remove linoleum glue off tile flooring?

well i found that wd-40 works pretty good. i redid my kitchen awhile back with peel and stick tiles. some were stuck together and left some glue on the top of some and i tried everything like acetone, mineral spirits, and others but i found that wd-40 worked the best but it will take some scrubbing with a brush

How Do I remove linoleum glue off tile flooring?

I've used a product called ''goo-gone'' but usually for small jobs. I found a website that states this:
Hello, & thank u for contacting The Grout Dye Company in NY. You will need to use a solvent, such as a paint stripper, there r many on the market, I would recommend something strong like Rock Miracle, this product contains Methelyle Chloride, the highest level allowed by the EPA, read the instructions carefully & wear safety equipment.
You can try a less volatile stripper like Zip Strip first if u prefer.
Good luck.

Another website indicated that if the linoleum was very old, it or the glue may have contained asbestos. They recommend having some of it tested.

I can not imagine why someone would put linoleum or ceramic tile. Good luck.
