l am installing laminate wood flooring in my 9x12 room and l was wondering if there was a way of telling exactly how many square feet l would need.l know that the square footage of the room is 108 square feet but dont l need to allow a certain amount for waste?l am trying to avoid having an axcessive amount left over.
If u purchase the laminate from a reputable place they will tell u exactly how much to purchase & no matter what there will be excess due to the staggering of the boards & cutting to fit doors etc. Some places may even take back the full boards u do not use. Do not skimp u may regret it once u get working on it & need a special piece so it looks right. I did my halls & dining room & love it but have extra left over so now I have to do my office. Do not forget to leave the border round the edge of the room. Good luck.

Example, if cartons are packed 30 sq ft, you have to buy 4 cartons = 120 sq ft. or other quantity.
